Kicking off Season 2

May 15, 2022

Carolyn Casterton, Founder

A year and a half ago, we started healthtech hunches to help the next generation of talent enter digital health.  Since then, we have hosted 30 “Ask Me Anything” events, captured career advice via video from 36 experts, and built a community of >900 members.  More than 25 students have stepped up to take leadership roles and drive the program going forward.

Thank you to our 2021 Leadership

As we close our second season, we wanted to extend a big thank you to Corrine Marquardt (Berkeley MBA/MPH) for stepping into the Chair role, setting the vision, designing the new leadership structure, and driving execution of the overall program. We also wanted to thank our Speaker Events Co-Leads, Brian Weil (Duke MBA) and David Mui (UPenn MD), for bringing in an incredible panel of speakers across 5 events, and our Community Co-Leads Lindy Holts (USC MBA) and Reilly Dever (Duke MBA/MD), for hosting the first internship roundtable and integrating “community time” into our programming to strengthen connections amongst members.

Thank you to our Ambassadors

We want to also thank our 2021 student ambassadors.  One of our top goals has been to increase access to programming and you made this possible as the voice of our community within your school programs.

Welcome to our 2022 Leadership

As we transition to planning the Fall 2022 season, we are excited to announce that Alex Chen (Stanford MBA ‘22, UCLA MD ‘23) and Steph Zhou (Stanford MBA ‘22) will be taking the lead as Co-Chairs for the community, partnering with 13 ambassadors.

Alex started his career as a software engineer at various digital health startups, from hospital wearables to billing AI. Since then, he’s expanded his experiences to include early stage healthcare investing and operational business roles. He’s particularly interested in value-based care.

Steph comes to digital health with experience across private equity investing, strategic finance/corp dev, and new venture concept development at places like Goldman, Apax Partners, Gympass, and Redesign Health. She is particularly passionate about advancing access to evidence-based mental healthcare.

Corrine will be transitioning to an Alumni Chair role, providing ongoing support and guidance to the new student leadership team.  Thank you to this team for stepping up to lead our community in 2022!

We are currently onboarding our 2022 Ambassador team and look forward to introducing them to the community when our new season kicks off in the fall.

We continue to serve our mission of helping the next generation of talent enter digital health and look forward to hearing from our new leadership as Fall 2022 approaches.
